Start with the message or file status
A song can play normally in Suno even if the file hasn't saved to your device. First identify whether the problem occurs before the download starts, during the download, or when you open the saved file.
| What you see | Where to start |
|---|---|
| A limit message in Suno | Check your account's remaining downloads. |
| An expired link or access error | Reopen the song page and check that you can access it. |
| A paused or failed download | Read the browser's error before retrying. |
| No WAV option | Check your plan and the options available on suno.com. |
| The download is complete, but the file cuts off or won't open | Compare it with the original and test another compatible player. |
Check a limit message in Suno
Check your remaining downloads if Suno displays a limit message. A browser error or missing file does not, by itself, mean you've reached your download limit.
Suno's published allowances are up to 7 lifetime trial downloads for Free, 20 per month for Pro, and 60 per month for Premier. Pro and Premier allowances reset on your billing date; unused downloads do not roll over. Free trial downloads do not renew monthly. Suno Studio workflows are not subject to these limits.
If you've reached the limit, check the additional-download options in Suno. Pro and Premier subscribers can also wait until their monthly allowance resets.
According to Suno's download-counting rules, failed or interrupted downloads do not count against your allowance. Once a song has counted toward it, downloading that song again does not count again. If the remaining count drops after a failed attempt, include the before-and-after counts in your support request.
Refresh an expired file link
A song's share link opens its Suno page; a direct audio link points to the file itself. If an old audio link no longer works, reopen the song in your Suno Library or Workspace. Select More Actions (…) → Download and choose an available format, following Suno's instructions.
For SunoSaver, copy the share link from the song's Suno page and paste it into the Song Downloader. For a playlist link, use the Playlist Downloader. If the song is private or requires you to sign in, use your Suno account to check its access and download options.
Check the browser's download status
In Chrome, open Menu → Downloads and find the song file. If it's marked complete, open it from the list or locate it in its folder. If it's paused or failed, follow the check that matches the error.
- Connection interrupted: resume the download if offered, or retry over a stable connection.
- Storage or permission error: check free space and choose a folder you can save to.
- Authorization error: return to the source page and check the account or access it requires.
- Security warning: review the reason for the block and verify the source before proceeding.
See Chrome's error guide for details. If no file appears in the list, the download may not have started. Reload the song page and try it again. If needed, try the same song in another updated browser with the same account. If it works there, review the original browser's permissions and extensions.
If only the first song in a batch saves, check the site's automatic-download permission. Allow multiple files for the batch you intended to save.
Check whether WAV is available
Suno offers WAV downloads to Pro and Premier subscribers on suno.com. If WAV isn't listed, confirm that you're signed in to an eligible account and check the song's download options on the website.
If WAV is available but the download fails, try that song on its own and note whether MP3 saves successfully. An MP3 copy may be enough for listening. If your project requires WAV, retry the WAV download later or report the error to Suno. Converting an MP3 to WAV does not recover audio data removed by MP3 compression.
Compare the saved file with the original
Play the original Suno song to the end and compare its duration with the saved copy. If the original ends at the same point, downloading it again won't make it longer. If the original plays in full but the copy cuts off, check that the download completed, then save a fresh copy.
If the file won't open, try another player that supports its format. If it plays there, check the formats your usual player supports. If the original plays normally but neither player opens the saved file, download a fresh copy.
If you downloaded a ZIP, extract it before opening the songs. Check that the extracted files match the songs you selected, then retry any missing tracks that are still available. Our bulk-download guide covers incomplete batches.
Play any replacement file through to the end before using it in your project.
Find the completed file on your phone
On iPhone or iPad, check Safari's download status first. In Files → Browse, open Downloads under iCloud Drive or On My iPhone / On My iPad, depending on your Safari settings. If you chose a custom folder, check that location instead. Apple explains the download-location settings.
In Chrome on Android, open Menu → Downloads and check whether the file finished downloading. If it plays there but isn't visible in your music app, check whether the app can access the folder containing the file.
For the complete steps, see how to save a Suno MP3 to Files or Downloads.
What to include in a support request
For an error in Suno, contact Suno support with the song link, exact message, and where you tried to download it: Library, Workspace, or Studio. Include your device, browser or app, file format, and the time of the attempt. Mention whether another song or format downloads successfully.
